Article 9

Section 1 : Qualifications for the ministry

The following are the qualifications required for all applicants for ministerial recognition in the Southern District.

Sub Section A Salvation

Testimony of having experienced the new birth (John 3:5)

Sub Section B Water Baptism

Be Baptized in water by immersion “inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” according to Matthew 28:19.

Sub Section C Baptism in the Holy Spirit

Testimony of having received the baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues according to Acts 2:4.

Sub Section D Evidence of call

Clear evidence of a divine call to the ministry, adequate expe- rience in the preaching and Christian service and a firm decision to submit their life for the full time work for which God has called.
