Article 7: Prerogatives

Section 1: Christian Fellowship

The Southern District shall promote the Christian fell ship among the members, start churches to worship God, to keep these churches united under the tenets of faith.

Section 2: Evangelism

The Southern District shall stimulate missionary and every gelistic zeal for the advancement of the Kingdom of God assist, advise, counsel and teach its constituency in order to maintain a continuing focus on winning the lost for christ, and the pioneering of new churches.

Section 3: Self-Government

The Southern District shall elect its own Executive Com- mittee, to arrange for its own general body meetings, District conferences and Executive Committee meetings, and to gov- ern itself in accordance with its Constitution and By-laws.

Section 4: Supervision

The Southern District shall supervise all the activities of the Assemblies of God in the District through its Executive Committee and Section Committees in accordance with the rights conferred by its Constitution and By-laws.

Section 5 : Ministerial credentials

The Southern District shall examine and recommend minis- ters who have the qualities prescribed by the Holy Bible (I Timo- thy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9) and the Constitution and By-laws for or- dination and issue certificates of Licence, Christian worker, Bible Woman.

Section 6: Discipline

The Southern District shall encourage Scriptural standards of preaching, teaching, methods, ministerial ethics, conduct, character and morals worthy of a disciple of Christ, and of the pody of Christ, and to administer discipline where needed to maintain the same.

Section 7 : Institutions and Departments

The Southern District shall establish and maintain such de- partments and institutions as may be necessary to fulfill its pur-
